any one know the reason why some clubs
restrict handicap allowance in competitions.
Seems a little harsh that sometimes a 28 h/c :) can only
play off 18.:mad:

Only things i have came accross has been that players with an handicap over a stated amount I.e.18 are excluded from play to restrict the playing field to a given standard of play or to limit the field in numbers. I doubt that a 28 over pR would be allowed to compete.

No so, they can enter but only allowed a max of 18 or 24 which ever the restriction applying.

The maximum handicap for men you will find will be 24. I sugest you ask the club in question why a player only gets allowed a portion of his handicap.
Where I play I very much doubt anyone would be asked to play above their ability.
