Lets talk about golf course holes of interest, I'm not on about how long etc, but what makes them different.
Course: cocks moor wood, Birmingham. public course, pay and play.
hole No 5: the crater:
Par three 106 yards index 17:
Hit the ball over what I believe to be a WWII bomb crater its about 80 yards wide and 30 feet deep, the green is above and the flag cannot be seen from the Tee There is a large tree covering the right hand edge of the green. A easy SW but I have seen so many players get the yips and lose the ball in the crater or over shoot the green into the woods defending the rear of the green. the drop zone looks well used.
Rating: A fun hole to play.
